Mayfair

Not a recommendation as such, but I would be eternally grateful if you could bring me back a ballotin of Neuhaus™ chocolates. Please.

"Yes, go to Bruges instead. "

This. There can't be a better recommendation specially if you're visiting for the first time. Brussels is a metro city not worth a weekend stay. Better hop on the weekend train and visit town as Brugge, Ghent , Dinant , Durbuy etc.

In case you still want to stay in Brussels and looking for fun, do let me know

The whole place is whole visiting as it's a well preserved medieval city.

Has some nice cafés, bars & squares to see. The chocolate museum & the church of the holy blood are worth seeing too.

Ghent is also worth going to; Bruges is a bit touristy... Ghent is more "alive" city

Club Cocoon & another called Le Val d'Amour are meant to be good.

For drink, dance; St. Gery is good, as well as Place Flagey & Chatelaine; all have nice bars, usually with DJs on Friday, Saturday night
