What toys/games did you guys have as kids.

I'm a child of the 80s so was Transformers and Pong, which my dad somehow got on our TV.

I've still got my Sega Gamegear. Gave it to my son to play with not so long ago, he switched it on and his face dropped as he said "Dad, what's wrong with the graphics?!"

Nothing son....that's just what we had to put up with in the 90s

I remember seeing it in our local Comet store, along with the 3DO, but I think that was the early 90s.

I remember my dad taking me to Argos to buy one after Christmas, only to discover they'd sold out.

Being an impatient child, I couldn't wait for them to come back in stock, so I had an Atari Lynx II instead.

Back in the good old days when catapults were legal.

My brother had a proper one which I could neever manage to pull back.

As for action man, I only ever had the one. The arctic version with ski's.

I had a toy which I can never remember the name of, so I'll describe it.

Maybe you can help.

It was a bin lorry that had little plastic pieces in the back, to represent the rubbish.

It came with a large plastic base which I believe was meant to be the HQ where you deposited the rubbish out of the lorry.

You steered the lorry to the recepticle and plugged a tool into the side of the base, pressed a button, and the rear of the lorry opened up and tipped the rubbish out.

That was it.

I loved anything small world. Loved the custom Dolls house my Dad built and any Birthday or Christmas money was spent on little furniture for it.

Loved Lego and would spend hours building houses with it

I also loved what would be termed nowadays as 'loose parts play' and using my imagination.....I emptied my Dads coal shed once and turned it into a playhouse
