Why?

Ok, I can grasp the intrinsic logic for finger nails; they facilitate fine tasks (scratching one’s bum hole or squeezing blackheads etc) but toe nails…?

Anyone care to explain?

Also, has anyone here perchance been abducted by aliens?

If so, did you happen to notice if they have toe nails?

If you've never dropped something heavy enough on your big toe to cause your toenail to eventually fall off.....then you'll never realise how sensitive they'd be without a hard nail protecting it.

I have just read with interest that the Guinness World record holder for longest toenails is Louise Hollis from the US and who has been toenail growing as a hobby since 1982.

I was going to buy her some socks for Christmas but on second thoughts…..

I scratch my bumhole with my toes, so they’re very useful for me.

Also, if there were no toenails I’d have no toenail clippings with which to make my back scratchers. They go well on Etsy.
