I can imagine some of you must have got smartphones for xmas.... so just thought that if you had any questions you could put them in here... I can help with most Iphone stuff... and I am sure that an Android nerd and even a windows nerd will along to help......

aroundme... figures where you are and then tells you where ya best local things are...

BBC news.... movies by flixster... tunein radio... dragon dictation because I am too arsed lazy to text or write anything on facebook or twitter....

the one essential i would advise anyone with an iphone or ipad to download straight away is the "find my iphone"... so if anything happens it can be found.. or remotely locked and wiped..

I am surprised it doesn't come built in....

I didnt know about that! I travel a lot with my iPad and worry about people being able to see whats on it if it ever gets lost

get the app (its a free one from apple itself).. then just log your apple id with the ipad... then you can go onto the apple site,or thru a store and they will be able to trace it

I've got no idea how that works. If you had lost your device and wanted to wipe it would you have to log in to the app on another device to access the lost one?

And if so and you used 1password to generate a random password would you be fucked?

Main apps I use are BBC News, Tunein Radio, BBC iPlayer, 4OD, period tracker
