Gateway to the Beacons

I write quite a bit

I write for forum posts and I write for people

Words mean so much to me and have so much hold over my life

Right now this is so very powerful and means so much

If you are reading this and you know its meaning then eh oh

I dropped the walls

I let you in

A new chapter to begin

It felt so right from the start

I let you into my heart

Time with you just felt right

After so much darkness I could see light

We laughed we smiled softly touching hands

Made plans to walk on foreign sands

In a brief time, I fell for you

The feelings felt right so very true

I told you I liked you just a bit

You said the same a little bit

But that was then and this now

You left my heart broken and low

Through a message not even to my face

Walls back up to save my grace

Tears have fallen I will not lie

Tired sunken weary eyes

I said I’d never hurt you I meant it from my heart

Now yet again mines tore apart

The simple things in life that’s all

Now hidden behind my self-care wall

I gave my word I gave my heart

Broken and tearful where do I start

Oh Ian, sorry you're going though a crappy time. A bruised heart is just horrible. Hope you find some solace in putting your feelings into words
