Ok so we’ve bought tickets to this event in Manchester in November, just wondering if any of you beautiful people are also going?

Also “what’s your favourite scary movie?”

It’s pretty much a comic con for horror fans

Meet and greets, after party’s, merchants all sorts

It sounds so good!

I love Midsommar for a more recent horror film. Quite enjoyed Barbarian as well, although it made me empathise in an unexpected way. Tucker and Dale Vs Evil is one of my favourite films of all time; so pitch perfect, kind of scary in parts. Love the classics like The Exorcist and The Thing.

Love horror in general! Really looking forward to watching a take on the famous Dracula voyage soon.

Got to be A Nightmare on Elm St. A babysitter put it on for me when I was 4 and I had a genuine fear of Freddy until I was a teenager.

My formative years were spent illicitly watching my folks horror collection.

American Werewolf in London

Zombie, flesh eaters (before it’s ban)

Jaws

Cannibal Holocaust

Texas chainsaw massacre

Had to Google what the event you mentioned was,it looks amazing

Old school choice for me would have to be original 'The Evil Dead' from 1981..but I watched an excellent movie 'Play Dead' released early January this year.

If I recall, Freddy did the puppet thing once but using tendons for strings. Perhaps he should have used your intended method of puppetry.

Oh The Evil Dead is fantastic and definitely up there for me! There's a new one coming out soon - Evil Dead Rising. I don't have high hopes because nothing could compare but I'm trying to stay relatively openminded.

Not this year I won’t be, trying to save a bit more towards a house!

But as for my favourite horror, has to be the classic Hitchcock films, but also Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Halloween, Hellraiser, Evil Dead etc etc

Couldn't pick an outright favourite, although JC's The Thing will forever be near the top.

Some of my other faves are Martyrs, Evil Dead 2, Begotten, Eyes Without A Face, Carnival of Souls, original Texas Chainsaw, The Last Broadcast, Behind The Mask...

couple, us we him her.

Thing is what do you class as a horror?

There's many sub genres.

If it's gore then probably any Rob Zombie flick.

Slasher movie's.

Friday the 13th franchise or Halloween.

Paranormal stuff then probably the original version of The amityville Horror or Rosemary's baby.

Then you have all the Japanese ones.

The first time I saw the grudge it genuinely scared me.

Zombie films, many good ones but my favourite by far is Zombieland .

Cannibal movie's.

Well cannibal holocaust takes some beating.

Straight up shock value Sick depraved.

Got to be August underground's mordum.

I can't and won't watch A Serbian film due to it's content I refuse to.

Vampire films?

The original Nosferatu is great.

American werewolf in London still stands up as a proper all round good film, dated special effects aside it's an excellent film.

Sci-Fi horror.

Alien obviously.

The Thing John carpenter's original bloody brilliant.

But it's those little low budget films that catch you out and give you an unexpected scare.

Exists scared me because I have a real issue with anything Bigfoot related.

The Ritual is a good one unexpected and a bit more original than most.

All the paranormal activity and Annabelle, nun crap no thanks.

Many years ago I watched a black and white film late one evening little known and although the special effects are dated it put the shits up me.

If you can find a copy you should watch

The Night of the Demon 1957 British horror film.

Tame by today's standards but the Idea has been copied many times most noteworthy is drag me to Hell which basically stole the whole Idea of a curse being passed from person to person and a demon coming for you.

People say that The exorcist is the best ever.

Didn't really do anything for me found it quite boring actually.

I could go on but I'll shut up now.

smile was actually based on a short film that the director made, which has Laura the patient as the main character, that was probably more atmospheric than the actual movie itself

Woman in Black I've seen the original, the remake and on stage. The latter was scary as fuck as she appears in the audience whilst you are watching the stage.
