Should I have moved or is that weirder than just staying where I was? | |||

"So my car is currently off the road and I had to use the bus earlier. When I first got on I had to sit next to someone as it was busy but by the time I got off it was only me and the person I was sitting next to. I didn't want to look weird by moving as soon as seats on their own became available but the more empty the bus got I became feeling more awkward and wondering if I looked like a weirdo still sitting next to a stranger with the whole bus to ourselves
Should I have moved or is that weirder than just staying where I was? "I haven't used public transport in about 20 years but when I lived in London the only place you'd move seats when loads became free was the tube. Never on buses. Not even night buses.
