So I’m now in Germany for the weekend. I’ve forgotten how a lot of bars and restaurants have bathroom attendants who you either pay a flat fee upfront to enter or tip on the way out.

So far I’ve spent nearly €5 and haven’t even had a poo.

Is this acceptable?

It's the same in belguim. Took some getting used to. Also the toilets seem to be up some stairs or down some but never seem to be on the same level

By the state of some of the mens and ladies toilets, Id rather pay towards an attendent.

Who checks the toilets and cleans the toilets and cubicles, I know its not a nice job as I do the plumbing side of it.

But the charges can be shared between the mens and the ladies toilet usages.

Though I must admit, I found a pound charge just to take a pee a joke.

A box at end of your bed

What happens if its a pay on the way out and you don't pay do they stop you going next time. Can see some wet patches on the floor hahah. I understand maybe paying the first time you go in but if your in the bar drinking all night it's just wrong paying everytime.

Men think of it this way I aint paying for it, I will just go behind a bin and take a pee there.

But if they had to pull there pants down and there boxers to take a pee it would be a different matter.

its not as easy to take a pee behind a bin.

I suspect some of the ladies might like the view though at least they would get to see your bare bum and cock on view.

I don't think it's ok.

You're kind of encouraging people to piss on the streets if they can't afford to use the toilet.

Are they clean? I'd hope they are well kept for the price you pay.

I've never seen attendants anywhere except decades ago in our local club.
