English foxes have been infected by birdflu presumably because they feed on the carcasses of aviation flu infested carcasses of birds. We cull our flu infested poultry so is it time to call time on these foxes and cull the buggers. It's back in the news today.

If it has crossed over then yes.

Sadly, but using marksmen to target individually.

Rather than a massive cull.

Well they can't hint the foxes with dogs because the dogs will catch it

I meant as opposed to trapping them. Plus they need to collect the infected carcasses because they might get picked over by crows, and then they pick it up..

"How should we cull these carriers ?"

Foxes don't carry it - they are what's known as an end host.

i.e. they get it & die.

I like foxes. Can’t we just cull the humans who get infected ? Far simpler right ?
