Snuggled on the sofa still in dressing gown and hello kitty slippers. Planning the menu for a dinner party and thinking I might have a nap after I've done this then put the pork in oven for dinner

Visitors have gone, onesie is on, braised steak and veg casserole is simmering away and my bum is now planted on the sofa. A small port and a cracker with cheese while watching the great british bake-off reruns...... Braw.

I soon will be on the settee! Spent the entire day moving all of little ones toys up into his bedroom. Brought my bookcase and swivel chair back down from the office. Sorted all toys/books for charity shop. Sorted all the dvd's. Stripped/cleanly remade the beds, 2 loads of washing done. Moved my office around so I can get a single bed in. Cooked dinner and now eagerly awaiting little man's bedtime so I can sit with a hot water bottle on my aching back.

New Year....start as you mean to go on!

You'll wear yourself out if that's how you mean to go on for the whole year! However, if you are determined and run out of tasks my spare room, lingerie draw and linen cupboard could do with a sort out. I'll get you a heat pad for your back.

Done (although a hot water bottle is perfectly acceptable)....I'm one of these people who likes to have a total tidy out a couple of times a year and get rid of junk. Mind you, it also refreshes my memory of 'stuff' put away for later use or things I'd previously saved for 'best'. Getting too old to keep saving them so have started using them.
