Has anyone else noticed Presidents portrayed in films have much more gravitas than the real ones we've had in recent years?(with the possible exception of Obama?) Any others agree?

Maybe because ‘the movies’ have very little idea of how the politics in America really works.

I think we're all surprised how the Ukraine has held out and indeed their president has been an inspiration. The apparent might of the soviet army has been shown to be a shambles despite the overwhelming hardware they were able to throw into the fray?

The obvious reply to that is Ronald Regan? Being a celebrity culture they are inclined towards the glam. If Clint Eastwood ever ran and could raise the half billion it's estimated to cost to run a campaign I think a landslide would ensue?
