"The manufacturer's instructions only work if all your crockery, pots and pans conform to what they expected. A lot of the soup/cereal bowls I have don't stack very easily. And don't get me started on the cat's bowls. I've developed a stacking strategy that works for me, sod what the manufacturers want." That’s entirely acceptable, but the random approach is really a sign of societal breakdown

"This is a particular grumble of mine. Why can’t people stack a dishwasher as per the manufacturers instructions? It works so much better ! " In our house, (as she is Italian) dishes are virtually rinsed clean before going in the dishwasher. No food on anything and I have to say I’m converted!
