Hidden Profile

I know people hide their profiles, I've done it when I needed a break, I never send any messages, I'm getting messages from people that have their's hidden, is it rude not to answer them, as I like to see who I'm talking to,

No not rude at all, reply to who you want to. Or perhaps reply to their message with something along the lines of ‘your profile is hidden so would want to know a bit more before engaging in chat’

Totally not rude!! We've got a few things going on atm that has made us make the choice not to meet and/or waste others time.. Have sent no messages since doing so. Unfair to expect any response from you, having zero idea of whether you'd find them attractive!! None of us are here for penpals..

I understand the need to hide now and again but why then continue to message etc?

It's a little like wearing camouflage and a hi vis jacket at the same time. You either want to be seen or you don't.

I'm in hiding now because I'm going away with family at the end of this week and don't want to be doing Fadmin. I wouldn't expect a reply unless someone is already familiar with my profile and we have exchanged messages previously

I just assume they’ve had a bad experience.

Have to say though, I’m less likely to want to interact with a blank page with a couple of words on it.

Especially if they’re in block caps.

Maybe like the who's near feature is not available when you are hidden then the sending of messages etc could be disabled, if you are already talking g to someone then that could overwite it

I always delete msgs from hidden profiles, can't work out why they send a msg if they are hidden I like to at least have an idea of who I am talking to.
