It's a question I've long wondered - because I, for one, absolutely adore breasts and I know I'm not alone - but is there a scientific reason why we find them so attractive?

I’m not sure as regards a specific scientific explanation but human females are the only mammals with permanently enlarged mammary glands which may send some kind of sexual signal to we boob lovers.

I did not know that, is interesting.

What is fascinating is that breasts are not sexual organs though, they're not part of the procreative process, but yet humans have drawn them into it. Good for us, but odd.

Good boobs hip waist ratio equates to someone who will be good for procreation and survival of the species so appears attractive to us.

I always thought it was a primal thing in thinking the bigger the better for wet nursing the young.

I do however know that the size of the breast is irrelevant to the ability to successfully breast feed

Personally I love them all, it’s the nipple reaction that’s best

Because humans are fucked up.

Our advanced level of self awareness has created all kinds of bizzare and strange ideals and concepts that naturally make very little sense but just feels right.

Self awareness often causes clashes with what is natural instinct too. What we would find attractive through instinct in terms of mating (best partner etc) we generally ignore and favour our own personal choices and preferences.

Darwin might argue that ample breasts may have evolutionary advantage - of producing (more?) milk for offspring.

So by the male finding one pair more attractive than another may be part an evolutionary selection process that made us humans the most successful (to plague proportions) species.

Good question OP!

For me when I look at breasts I can instantly imagine how they would feel.

Soft and warm and that moment you feel the nipples hardening under you fingers or mouth…..

The sating of hunger as babies will make the feel and smell forever linked with satisfaction.

After you hit puberty satisfaction takes on another slant but ultimately releases the same chemicals in your brain.

Besides....boobs are amazing and so so soft if you look after your body.
