Got a favourite?

Do you go for frozen cheap and nasty or luxury from the butcher's?

Best accompaniment?

You can talk all things bangers here

Alicante, Spain. (Sometimes in Wales)

Any banger is elevated by good mustard. Do you even have to say that out aloud or does everyone just already know it??

At work we used to do a massive team fry up if we were in on a Sunday. We all put £2 in and the newbie got sent to the shops with one message ringing in their ears - “don’t get shit sausages!!!”

Love black pepper sausages, pork and apple sausages, and caramelised onion sausages. Always buy good quality, not the cheap crap.

I like the Lidl ones. I just wish they did bigger packs. 6 sausages doesn't really do much for a family of 5

I am psychopath and love me some proper veggie sausages over any standard ones.

Or on the rare occasions I want meat there's some cracking venison ones on the market near work.

I've never actually tried a veggie sausage. We did try some beef ones years ago. I've never known my husband fart so much. I didn't buy them again

Can't beat a good cheese and leek veggie sausage. Can't be doing with the fake meat ones that are everywhere nowadays.

That would lead to a plethora of sausage. I could live with that

I’m clearly in the minority

Can’t stand all the herbs and flavour’s through my sausages … plain for me and actually quite partial to a wee willy winky (even better if pinched off a kids plate when not looking)

Manchester-ish

If it's between buns with a splash of sauce then a cheap sausage is the best.

A fancy sausage is perfect with gravy and some creamy mash.

I love sausages but don't like the ones with a thick skin..hard to cut & chewy...

Then you get the skinless ones

What's all that about?...

Also have a look at the meat content, some of them are seriously lacking...

Also I remember when Walls did them in a tin with lard...

Though saying all that their microwave sausages are very acceptable..

I like from the butchers or a supermarket finest range. I'm quite fussy with red meat quality, but I don't have it often

The best sausages are ones from Ireland, and I don't mean Richmond. Ones actually from Ireland.

And I don't like them too meaty, like 90% pork are just too dense.

And I'm with a poster above, plain sausage, none of this herbs and flavours.

Funnily enough no she hates Richmond and I can see why they’re more a paste than a sausage. Her favourite are supermarket own brands I believe Morrisons are her favourite.
