Wanting a break

When I first joined this site and explored swinging, I was told after a period of time I would feel like I needed a break for a while, I've found this to be true... Has anybody else felt like this?

Yeah, I have had times when I needed to put things on hold, that's why I like the forums. I can just come on, chat crap, have a laugh etc

Yep. I get jaded, take a break and then get back in the saddle after a few months.

I stay online and on the forums during down time as I enjoy the posts and the banter

i often go from things for a while.

depends on my training which can kill your motivation for this.

also my work and business takes up time and sometimes i am needed to travel all over the country so again its when time allows.

as im getting older my _iews and needs have changed. and i dont just take the first thing which comes along.

We took a break for a couple of months earlier this year. I think you do need to step back once in a while. I'm the same with other hobbies I have.

I took a break for a few mths earlier in the year , have been back since aug had a few meets which I enjoyed. I find I'm enjoying the forums maybe I'm getting old or very busy with work lol

Yeah, We have had times when we have put things on hold and took a break otherwise the excitement and thrill wears off, that's why we like the forums. We can just come on, chat nonsence, have a laugh etc

I've found that even chatting via email, people get heavy, wanted meet then get shirty when I say I'm not meeting... It's my status and profile text status, what else can I do?! Lol

I dont operate the block easily, I really dont but in that case... if a polite "I am not looking to meet in the foreseeable future" does not work... it is the only option

Since I took over responsibility of my little grandson I've found that I don't have as much time or inclination for meets...hence having quite a long break at the moment. The forums amuse me during the long boring evenings I spend on my ownsome.

I go through phases too, and when I am not in the mood to play, I would make myself unsearchable by not stating the type of person I am looking to meet.

Hiding my profile is an option, however, I find making myself unsearchable is sufficient to reduce the number of PMs I receive.

Have a break from FAB from time to time can be freshing, as it allows me to focus on other areas of my life that may have taken a backseat for whatever reason(s).

Still pop into the forums though, as it is a fun way to waste time for me after a hard day's work.
