My friend has just been diagnosed with whooping cough! She has been feeling I'll since boxing day but thought it was just the flu

I didn't think anyone got whooping cough these days. She is soldiering on and coming to Weston for NYE though lol

yes they do sadly.

and also i read that some other illnesses which we thought to have the better of are making a more aggressive return.

I'm feeling a bit under the weather, today. Not a happy bunny really, because I was supposed to be dj'ing at a house party in Hull tonight..

My sister has been diagnosed with pleurisy in the run up to Christmas.

I'm hoping I haven't caught anything off her!

Yeah, someone else I know got diagnosed with pleurisy before Christmas

Luckily I seem to have escaped all the bugs.....touch wood!!!!

was ur friend innoculated against it? i know i wasnt cos in the early 70's there was a scare that the injection caused so many other problems that alot of kids didnt get it..

also some mothers just dont like their children having any innoculations..

this is why these illness still exsist and i would think recently they are making more of a comeback cos so many foreign people are coming into the country where they arent innoculated as standard in the countries they were born.. their countries proberly have a very active outbreak of these illness and they end up bringing the disease over cos they go back and visit etc..

just a thought
