I believe the consensus is that a beard is the hair that grows on the jaw, chin, upper lip, lower lip, cheeks, and neck of humans and some non-human animals. In humans, usually pubescent or adult males are able to grow beards.

I spent far too long in the military. I can’t stand myself not being clean-shaven and I can’t stand other guys not being clean shaven.

DISCLAIMER: Sometimes, very, VERY occasionally, when they’re well groomed and trimmed, they do look quite smart. Some of my RN friends pull it off really well. But generally they look shit, because the vast majority of guys are just unable to grow it smartly

Exactly this. One of the biggest surprises on joining Fab was finding just how deep the "hair = dirty" misapprehension is ingrained here.

I was genuinely astonished by the number of profiles with incredibly narrow cosmetic specifications around human hair.

Tattoos I can't comment on other than I agree with Piscean, but considering beards are the natural setting for human males. Which I think you will find the vast majority of the western male population are clean-shaven or very short stubble is following the crowd.

What a stupid comment to make, very short sighted view, very narrow minded. I can guarantee you not one of us has these does it to follow the crowd. That's as ridiculous as your comment. Also more people have no tattoos than those with tattoos and same goes forr beards statistically speaking.

Beards are great when you've got an itch

Mainly under the bed...

As much as I like my beard, I often find ladies with similar length and thickness facial hair tend to be hiding a penis in their underwear. While pleasntly surprising for some folk, it always makes me a wee bitty scared...

Beards are great seats. If you've never sat in a bearded man's face you're missing out.

I've always said no for facial hair and hubbiee stubbley kisses was just nope for me with me often saying you need a shave.

Though recently this has changed thanks to a recent encounter and has slightly change my opinion as it wasn't as bad as I thought.
