Secret hideaway in the pennines

I popped into my local butcher to get some steak for dinner and there in front of me, in all its beauty, a pheasant, it had to be mine, I had to get it as it's been ages since I had pheasant.

Off went the very nice lady, returning a while later with the freshly plucked and prepared bird, "that will be £2.50 please"

I nearly came in my undies.

If I wanted to dress it myself it would have been free apparently, not much call for posh food in Mossley

You think £2.50 is a bargain? Those blighters are all over the country lanes on the way to my parents' house.

The number of times I've had to tap on the brakes when they've been a little slow to get off the road. I merely need to floor it a little to get one for free on any given day.
