I'm quite tight these days.

Since losing a lot of business at the start of Covid and nearly losing my house too I've become a lot tighter. I've sure discovered who my friends are and those who were just being friendly because they knew I was generous with my money. I've learned a big lesson but I'm still not sure if that's a good or a bad thing yet.

Nah, as long as my bills are covered and I have a buffer in savings then it's there to enjoy...what's the point in grafting at work for it to all sit in a bank account for someone else to enjoy when I'm six foot under?

Have the pretty dress and go to that restaurant that you've always wanted to try while you're still able to enjoy them

I have been very generous in the past and still to some extend. Some unwisely so and some deservedly and reciprocated. There is one ocassion though that hurts as was taken advantage off. On a day to day basis it is nice to be able to treat family and friends if you can and also help others in these difficult times.

It depends on the other person's persona and general sense around me. But I always try to give the benefit of the doubt in any case. People have bad days. So in that sense I'd say generous but I can be strong willed, tight if you will.
