Serendipity

In a shop today I ended up discussing crisp sandwiches with the cashier.

So, Which flavour crisps?

Butter or no butter?

Which type of bread?

I’d go for ready salted crisps, no butter and crusty granary bread. Well squashed down crisps.

Thick sliced. Clover butter right to the edges. Ready salted or McCoy's flame grilled steak flavour. Squashed flat. Cut in half and the crusts eaten first.

I'm not fussy though

Thick white with plenty of “proper butter”

My all time favourite to make a sandwich with are Cheese and Onion Squares.

Another question.

What flavour crisps were your all time favourites which they no longer make?

Mine were the Beef squares or the Bovril Smiths crisps.

You have to have butter or spread to act as a sticking agent to the white bread, then cheese and onion or salt and vinegar crisps, firmly pressed together
