Predicting...

chemistry.

How accurate are your thoughts/predictions about chemistry?

Have you ever been pleasantly surprised? I'm stepping away from the negative currently so not interested in tales of things being flat. Sorry!

Are there certain things that make you think, yep... we'll definitely have chemistry when we meet?

My gut feeling is usually fairly accurate with these things. Although I have been pleasantly surprised once or twice

As long as there are not other outside influences at the time, then yes so far I have been pretty spot on regarding chemistry.

I usually know going into it whether its a fuck yes or just a fuck it why not.

I was very pleasantly surprised by an old flame last year, I assumed things wouldn't be so intense so fast.

I think the ease of the conversation, and how free you both are to laugh are key indicators of chemistry; however, I do think these things can come over time and that chemistry is that is not always immediately.

Also, would just like to Melli, you're questions are always so interesting and thought provoking.

I usually judge pretty well. Sometimes even before there's been any 1-2-1 contact either via message or phone.

Depends entirely on the person but for example there have been many occasions when I've seen good profiles on Fab and having observed forum interactions, status updates, profile rewrites and even just from images - I've known the chemistry will be good.

Very rarely has it been a case of false advertising.

But you can get that spark wrong no? You might think it's there, you might not think it is and then... bam. Topsy-turvy world.

Friendship chemistry, I've been right every single time

Romantic chemistry is mixed with attraction, so is less easily predicted for me

I’ve been mostly right but also so wrong on a small number of occasions.

So many things affect sexual chemistry like type of eye contact, posture, voice and how they are in person vs text

I think I’ve got a pretty good radar for spotting the chemistry. It might take me a while to work out, but I get it right more often than wrong.

I think I’m pretty good with these kind of things Meli. I seem to attract like minded souls. Free spirits mostly. The chemistry normally develops from there

You know what! I thought I was really good at this and I believe I was but one time it didn't go the way we/I expected it to go, the male half was a completely different personality on message as he was in person, he literally didn't speak and we tried so hard to engage him and it was quite awkward.

Mind blowing that someone can be that different in person. Nothing against him at all, just sharing our experience on it is all.

Fuck it why not. You have a charming turn of phrase, genuinely. Very direct.

Yes, intensity can be very surprising can't it? Sometimes things are undeniably there and it builds very quickly. And pleasurably.

I'm often told my word vomit is almost poetic. Though usually by people who are trying to get in my pants.

I've never been wrong about a fuck yes. I have been happily impressed by the occasional fuck it why not, but those ones are far from guaranteed.

I need to feel their energy.

There’s no specific thing, so you can get that feeling in different ways with different people. I think if it’s there in messages, then at least there’s a chance of there still being chemistry in person

It's quite difficult via the medium of text especially staccato text in messages or forums.

Eye contact and how they hold and break it is a big teller for me.

It would be really mean to ignore this post albeit responding late!

Thank you. They tend to be a reflection of conversation with friends, situational. It's fairly easy to read my thoughts, mood etc and I'm very lucky that some people don't read them. I'd cringe quite hard.

Yes, I think you can sometimes find that chemistry isn't immediate. There's this slight shift, maybe you notice someone in a different light. Maybe you're more open to it. However chemistry is discovered, it's wonderful.

I just knew something was there, from that first message. It was an instant spark, which ignited a special connection. I could feel her vibe and energy, there was that chemistry straight away. It felt like we had known each other for ages

Then when we met in person it just confirmed everything we thought and felt. I do believe if it’s meant to happen it will at the right time and place

Every chance of chemistry being successful if we all exhibited judicial temperament: open-mindedness, courtesy, tact, courage, patience, punctuality, firmness, understanding, compassion, humility & common sense. These qualities demonstrated consistently would lead us to harmonious relationship.
