I discovered I'm not the stupid, disgusting piece of crap my ex spent 16 years telling me that I was.

I discovered I'm a intelligent, independent woman who is capable of balancing a hugely stressful job and being a single parent and doing a bloody good job of it.

I also discovered that ok I'm not everyone's cup of tea but I can be a gorgeous sexy woman in some people's eyes!!

In the last few weeks ive learnt that your life can change in an instant. That i will no longer get into pettiness and things that dont matter.

Ive learnt that the best thing ive done in recent years was build bridges with my father that had been somewhat of a tubulant relationship and that this last year had been our best year ever.

Ive also realized that im the one that can hold things together and shock brings out the calm sensible side of me.

Ive also realized that i will never give up hope.

Ive learnt what humilty really is and we can find comfort amongst strangers in unusual settings and there is far more kindness in the world

I’ve discoverd the utter joy of immediately switching off the telly every time yet anothe cookery programme pops up on screen….!.

So I no longer display tolerant apathy towards this ever increasing volume of utterly mind-numbing crap which seems solely devised to systematically rot peoples brains away……so there,,, nur-nur……

i discovered the person i loved was cheating behind my back.

she even had the nerve to tell me to my face she was as in her eyes it was ok.

i got up and walked away.

knew it was over.

sometimes you have to just walk away no matter how much it hurts.

so i learnt ever to trust again. and always doubt someones words until they prove themselves.

I have learned

how to cook eggs without a stove.

That 'recently separated' means 'but not for long'

That after showering, ignoring a small puddle on the kitchen worktop for a year = flooded kitchen

I don't like memory foam matresses so won't be buying one.

Fluffy wuffy kitty cats have sharp claws

It's best not to leave dishes for more than 3days or the kitchen starts to smell

Crying down the phone to service providers does sometimes work! - who'd 'ave thought it?!

.... and I'm probably going tomiss the train .... again
