Your partner suddenly has a revelation and decides he/she no longer wants to share you or him/herself with anyone ever again.

Could you/would you agree to stop?

Or is swinging an important part of your relationship?

Genuinely curious

Absolutely, that was one of our first rules. If either one of us said enough is enough then we both stop and go back to vanilla life.

As it is we have decided that we stop in April 2024 which is when Alexis turns 60.

I would have to have a proper conversation about it. My relationships are poly so there was never an indication of anything approaching monogamy, such a sudden shift in the dynamic that's been agreed from the start would be a major problem, and I likely would not be willing to cut off the other people I care about.

Well I'm not currently a swinger more poly but still ENM.

Would I stop meeting others in terms of having sex with them? Possibly yes. I wouldn't cheat on him. But I'd still want these people in my life.

It would be difficult because I'm poly and I've formed a relationship with another person. Well I'm in one. And as much as he's a bit of a dick, I wouldn't want to suddenly change everything. Nor lose friendships that mean an awful lot to me.
