I think even my coffee doesn’t taste right out of a thermos flask/cup ….. I’ve tried every kind, and they still don’t taste the same

I have also found cider tastes better out of a glass rather than from the can or bottle..

Maybe some to do with air circulation?...

surrounded by twinkly lights

This is why I only have the hot water in a thermos, only fresh tea will do

Agreed. Tea already made in a flask is not the same.

i dont drink tea and coffee changes taste because when you make it its fresh out the jar or packet, it stews in a thermos...... I never use them anymore because of this

Buy some herbal liqueur and add it to the thermo flask. You'll discover a new world.

I suggest Riga Black Currant Balsam. It will change the way you drink tea.

Try a thermal cup instead? I have a "Smash" thermal cup and my tea tastes just fine but I agree a Thermos does odd things to the taste.

Hmmmm if really want to taste cider at its best serve it from a cold stone/earthen jug to a stone / earthen cup. But we are talking proper still cider not fruit pop drinks.

Think the taste is effected by the type of vaccum container e.g. glass or stainless steel. But the tannings seem to stew quicker so perhaps they are brused. Never add milk to either that worsens the distortion.

Maybe that's why mine tastes okay - I don't have milk in my tea.
