Ladies, do you love a wink?

Morning all,

Newbie here, just wondering how all you sexy ladies feel about receiving a wink? Is it good to send one before a message or are they a waste of time?

I've hopefully added enough info to my profile to show who I am and what I'm into but the challenge for a single guy is getting folk to look at it.

I'm definitely not one of those lazy guys who only says "hi" in a message, generally it's a couple of paragraphs at the minimum.

I've also got non dick pictures and photo verified.

So, should I wink, message or both?

Winks are a waste of time (for me). I usually delete them in bulk without looking.

If we get a wink, we assume the person is interested so we go and have a look. Wink back if we see what we like. Sometimes that leads to them messaging since it's like a sign for initial attraction.

Honestly never looked at them. Get enough messages to consume my time without looking at winks too. Same applies to random friend requests.

I send them, and hope that people use it like this, as designed. It's akin to making eye contact and smiling out in the wild, it's a sign that you can approach. Not a sign of consent, but a sign that a conversation can start. Sometimes it feels a bit much launching in with a message.

We have filters in place so don’t get a lot of winks. We generally have a look at the profile and if we think there might be something there we will make contact.

Judging from the replies, it seems winks are a waste of time.

So should the wink button be removed to save wasted time?

I prefer winks then if I’m interested I’ll message them. Better then receiving hundreds of messages you’ll never get round to reading.

From what I gather reading other threads concerning messaging and receiving replies, that messengers rarely or never get reply, so maybe that's why they wink.

Probably splits with men or couples not minding winks and will check out the profile if they get them, responding if they like what they see, and single women not even looking at them because they get so many.

Personally we like them because it seems less rude to ignore them. If we like the winker then we will either wink back or message.

So by looking at the previous replies from all these lovely ladies , what I can say is wink is a mixed opinion thing , so some women do look at it and send the signal back as a form of attraction and some don’t a simple message would do for them , if I’m not wrong ..

Anyway ladies feel free to wink at me and let me know your intentions
