The Secret to a Long Life Is..

The Worlds oldest known person passed away yesterday at 118. Nun Lucile Randon had entered a Convent in 1940 and died in her sleep. She even survived Covid in 2021.

So stop fucking you deviants ! You'll thank me in 50 years time.

A convent? I'd rather die young(er)

Not anytime soon though, too much fucking to be done.

Haha that made me laugh. 118 years old, but how many years of excitement, adrenaline fuelled fun, and feeling totally alive has she had.

I wouldn't want to be a nun.

The secret to a long life is not to die. That’s a scientifically proven fact.

Nah, I'm fine dying in my fifties if I've truly lived and fucked.

Sometimes I realise that the majority on here are already middle aged so your suggestion might be considered.

What is death if you accept energy can’t be destroyed but it can change form - is death just a construct to explain how we change from one energy type to another… and also cutting down saturated fat!!!

She felt her life had purpose in serving God and not herself. I'm glad she went peacefully.

It isn't a life i'd want to lead but she did.

Fun story, before I found Fab I was in Leadership in a church and had spent over two years entirely celibate, nothing at all. Two years was long enough.

I was very peaceful though, tbf.

That's not a long life, that's a very slow death.

I'd rather have an average life well-lived.

if i made my peace with death a long time ago, why would i want to wait until im 118-odd?

just a waiting game... might as well try and live in the meantime. Px

I'd say fucking is easy to find and biologically driven. It's certainly not a necessity to 'truly living'. I can see that is dependent on what 'truly living' is to each individual. What is life or more to the point what is 'living'.

I've always said .... If I can't have the company of others that I like, if I can't dance, sing, walk or laugh then i'm ready to go .... No dribbling and piddling and being spoonfed for me thanks .... that's not living.

It is a medical fact that regular sex is good for your physical and mental health….. not unprotected sex with lots of partners obviously, the itching alone would make you want to die (according to a friend).

I agree GC. Thr best any of us can do is live a life true to our own principles and I'm sure she did that.

It may have been a very fulfilling life for her. Possibly more so than others.

Just because some people's ambition and fulfillment comes from fucking strangers, it's not for everyone.

I didn't say it was a necessity to truly living. Hence the 'and' to indicate they are two separate things "truly lived" AND "fucked".

You're right, it's clearly an individual thing. I didn't feel the need to elaborate on what truly living to me looks like, it's an ever transient thing, with slight shifts as the years go on.

I can respect that people find meaning in different things, clearly the woman in the OP did.

For me personally, where I am now? I'm enjoying the pleasure my body brings, the fact I can move it, love it, dance with it. Love with it.

Does being a celibate, teetotal, vegetarian make you live longer ?

No, it just feels like it.

North West

My family is pretty long lived on both sides, everyone has made it to their 80s among my Grandparents, one made it to 90 and one to 89. They lived very varied lives so I don't think there's as much science to it as we think.

On my Dad's side, the Jewish line are very long lived for the past nearly 200yrs - most lived into their 70s, many made 80s and it was only WW2 that put a stop to that.

She became a nun in her 40s so it's very possible that she may have had carnal relations prior to entering the convent.....
