Oxford

Like? So much. It is 80% rural, the most of all the Home Counties, with beautiful woods, rivers, and hills to explore. It has incredible history, from palaeolithic times right up to now. The city itself is one of the most beautiful, and has an incredible panoply of architecture, music, art, museums, bookshops, etc, for its size. It is ancient but never old, because every year it is refreshed by young, excited, idealistic people.

Dislike? It's too far from the sea, too expensive, and too Tory - but that is true of rural places almost everywhere in England.

It is a horribly nice place to live.

Everything is close by.

It would have to be a very good reason to move..

Either an incredibly well paid job, a very amazing woman, or a move abroad. Otherwise, no reason to move at all.

I live around 10 minutes drive from the sea and around 3 minutes drive from the M4, both depending on traffic. That and the fact that there are plenty of shops and pubs around is great, but the downside is almost all is to far for walking.

North West

Like - semi rural, but within short distance of Manchester and other places with interesting stuff to do.

Dislike - our main town centre is now a complete s***hole and an eyesore. The local "village" high street is becoming trendy but most of the cafés, shops and restaurants are not wheelchair accessible, so we end up driving to Manchester for everything.

I live in one of the most amazing historical cities in the world surrounded by hills on one side, sea on the other with adventure on every door step.

Boo's World

Loads of things here to do no matter what your interests are.

Worst part:

Sometimes I have to keep going round and round and round and round to get anywhere......

here & there

The river, forests & countryside - being 15 mins from great shops/restaurants & activities helps to.

Dislikes the entitled people that live near by.
