"new years honors list and its Sir wiggo. For winning a bike race? Far more people are deserving of the honour than him. " stop, sir Alex Ferguson, you can be such a hypocrite at times wishy. Knighthoods are given for so many reasons. For winning a bike race,no other Brit has ever won,I think more than justified.

"danny boyle turned his down. I wondered what happened to him... his was the one name i was expecting on the list... any idea what he was offered???" Those lists are kept quite hush hush. He did a R4 Front Row interview a few weeks ago where it was hinted he might be Sir Danny and he demurred. I think a lot of people would have been very shocked if he had accepted. Benjamin Zephania also refused his when he was offered it a few years back.
