Don't know about 2020. My Dad in Jersey started future proofing in the 1970s and put many packages of it in the loft where they also stopped cubic feet of air from freezing!

Most of it got shipped across the Channel twice as I used to bring packs back here with me until fairly recently. The only thing which gave away its age was the apricot colour which was popular at the time.

He also invested in tinned sardines which he reckoned had a very long shelf life and tasted better with age. Had to be in olive oil not tomato sauce, which would have reacted chemically.

"Stuff, in general I’ve so much stuff! Hockey jerseys, guitars, guitar amps, artwork, oh look there’s another guitar! CDs DVDs too. Do I really need them? Probably not

I still have about 3000 lps singles etc on vinyl that haven't seen the light of day for about 30 years... (an awful lot of shite I have to say) but don't have the heart to dump them.

I’ve a heap of vinyl too but I also have a record player. I do not have a cd player except in the car much like yourself I haven’t the heart to clear them out

But do you use your record turntable at all? My son asked me... "so how do you play a specific track? Whaaat... You have to move the needle!?"

Yep, got 3 new records for my birthday last week and they’ve been in pretty constant rotation

How much is a new vinyl album these days? "

Anywhere between £18-£25 more for special editions etc but I’ve a great wee record shop the next town over I spend the odd afternoon perusing

Despite best efforts not too I hoard building materials left over from jobs as cant throw nothing away at the time and think might need it down the line, garden gets full then usually results in a clear out actually paying to tip the materials (mostly concrete/brick so goes to crusher) swear never to do it again yet 6 months later garden full again ffs
