As a kid only ever had small pets fish, birds, hamsters that kinda thing wife had cats all thru childhood. Got our first cat few years ago then three years ago a Beagle both great in their own way. Cat far more independent and easier to look after but the Beagle gives far more love but is hard work. Love them both though.

Grew up with cats and I still love them. Hated dogs for a long time after an awful bite as a child, I wouldn’t say I’m over it but much more comfortable and confident around them now.

Hard work, but so worth it. I love that they aren't independent and are so needy for my loooooove.

Labs and golden retrievers have my heart.

Like both and had both before but nothing beats going for a lovely long walk with your dog or them looking at you with so much love and devotion, or cuddling up to them when you are feeling down and lift you up. I think you get my drift, very much a dog lover but cats can be lovely too and used to prefer them when I was little. Now it's the other way around.
