So don’t be tempted to try others from Aventis, only creed is good.

Try Halfetti by Penhalagon. It’s a bit cheaper and different, kind of Arabic influence and most women really like it.

Or stronger with you , intensely by Armani. Cheap but very good

Couldn't agree more. So here's verbatim my comments from similar recent thread:

Take the advice and recommendations you've been given with a smidgen of salt, with due respect. Recommending a scent is not like recommending a Plumber. Only you can personally determine which scent you will like and what will be suitable.

If your friend "James" wears a particular cologne and you happen to like it, it may potentially smell different on you because of the differing characteristics of you pulse points, skin temperature variations, body heat, natural pheromones and perspiration. Therefore copy-cat recommendations don't always follow through.

Go to a store, try smelling some and applying two or three in different places (but no more in one visit). What you're smelling are just the Top Notes. You can only smell two or three in one go before your 'nose' gives up. So it means frequent visits to the store.

The Base Notes are the ones that come through once you get home after having tried a few in store. That's why it's not advisable to buy something there and then because the underlying scent will come through much later and you may dislike it. Also consider Longevity...some scents / colognes / aftershaves will require frequent application during the day.

It smells very similar to Creed Aventus, at £27.50 (105ml) its an absolute bargain. Amazing staying power too.

Police, To be Men EDT, Paul Smith Extreme, Davifoff Cool Water as a day to day nice smelly.

Depending on the evening or the occasion, Tom Ford Soleil Blanc or Sauvage.

Day ones are fairly cheap to buy and in my opinion all smell fresh. Evening ones a bit stronger

Couldn't agree more. So here's verbatim my comments from similar recent thread:

Good perfume shops will give you a cup of coffee beans to smell to get around that problem of your nose giving up.

Also in the uk scents are usually made of 50-75% alcohol so 100ml is really just 25mm product, try just 25% alcohol or even pure oil for something really different and long lasting
