The Saw Alive ride, wherever that was. I love the sensation of being scared (the fun fear) on those experiences. My ex HATED it and I got all his displaced anger afterwards, bless him.

I hate those galleon type ships that go upside down. The bars never feel like they’d hold me in. I like being scared when I know I’m safe, but not on them!

Love rollercoasters and will go on anything. But the pirate ship makes me smile like ‘Yeah look how much I’m enjoying it but I swear I want to throw up on the row sitting opposite me!’

Back in the day at Alton Towers they used to have 1 hour madness on The Corkscrew which usually happened at the end of the day...what they used to do was wind the speed up by another 15-20 mph ... It was absolutely insane but fuck me utterly terrifyingly brilliant

One of the piers at Blackpool had. a cage with two seats, attached to a bungee cable. The cage is pulled down to the ground under tension, you get strapped in, then they let go. You get catapulted straight up, facing skywards, then at the top, the cage turned over so your facing the ground and you start to plummet. I was laughing and screaming profanities, the adrenaline was a real rush. As you got the bottom, the bloke came running over and said it's half price for another go!

I just wish I had bought the video that captured our ride.

Alton towers, the black hole.

You sit astride the thing and my gf in front wasn't expecting the drop so her head flung back and butted me hard.

Blood everywhere and a chipped tooth.

Those eggs things that you get at the fair, basically it’s a cage shaped like an egg attached to a big wheel. They also spin all the way around and you had a bar infront of you that would stop it from spinning, I spent many an hour going around and around upside down.

here & there

Oh my days…

We had a fair come to our local park in the summer last year, there was a pirate ship style ride that also spun while swinging.

It didn’t look to bad so managed to talk everyone we were with on to it.

Mistakes were made!

Damn it was horrendous, kids crying with fear, music so loud that the bass tried to reach down your throat to take our stomachs contents, kids now having a mental breakdown, it’s going higher now, it’s spinning faster now, abject terror for everyone has set in.

I’m looking at the Mrs with that look of wtaf! She’s thinking we’ve seriously fucked up here! Kids are now on the verge of passing out through fear.

Ooft it’s slowing down everyone looks relieved, oh thank god that’s over.

Nope!

It’s off again the calm before the storm, it’s now doing 360’ loops, something that it’s not done since we’ve been there.

We are all emotionally empty, the kids are no longer kids, they are empty sacks of skin - emotionally dead, colourless, shaking.

Over everything, it just goes silent in my head, much like shock has set in after a major incident, im shutting down to……

The ride is over, I'm struggling not to throw up while putting a brave face on for the kids - they know I’m lying, mrs knows I’m lying, I know I’m lying.

No one says anything.

We are done, the fair killed a little bit of us that day. At this point I'm not ready to back incase PTSD kicks in.

Sad times

I like rollercoasters and haven't been terrified of one yet BUT

You know those catapult things where there are 2 seats in a circular ball cage attached to HUGE ropes that catapult your damn cage in the air?!

Did one of those once and will literally never do one again even for like 500,000.

Ok maybe that amount, but not for up to 5000

The Scenic Railway at Dreamland, Margate (formerly Bembom Brothers).

Not that it was particularly fast, high or had any loops in it, but it was the oldest rollercoster in the country, and was primarily made of wood!! If it had been raining, you were almost taking your life in your hands, as the wood became swollen after soaking up the moisture!

I remember my husband taking our 14 year old daughter on the Pepsi Max Big One in Blackpool after she begged him.

I started watching them going up to the drop and had to walk away.

When she got off she was almost crying.

Never had any problems with roller coasters/sudden drop type rides. Closest to any of them was in France on skiing trip, had driven and Discovery broke down halfway down the mountain as we were en route home (frozen fuel pipe). Recovery vehicle came out, winched Disco on board...backwards. We were left in it as we were taken back up the mountain to where we had come from...backwards. That truly scared me!!

"Me in the day Space Mountain at Disney world about 1980 . Happy Wednesdays everyone. "

My first scare:

"After winding through the cells, guests emerged out into a dark scene, passing by a shootout between police and some Weasels (using red lights to simulate gunfire). Several of the police barriers then moved aside, revealing a railroad crossing complete with a ringing bell. The gate then moved aside and the vehicles made a right hand turn onto the tracks. The vehicles traveled along the railroad tracks until getting hit by a train (with riders seeing the headlight of the locomotive). A door then opened, revealing the "Hell" scene. Afterwards, guests went through a door and arrived at the station."

https://disney.fandom.com/wiki/Mr._Toad%27s_Wild_Ride

I think I was 7 or 8 in Orlando Florida.

All I could think we were heading towards a train and then it disappeared... WTAF....Lol! Well in child-sweary terms.

I did one of these in Ibiza.

I've never been on a crazy upside down rollercoaster cause I'm too scared, probably Splash Mountain in Florida has been the biggest... But I loved that bungee cage! I wanted to go again but my mate was on her 3rd go and probably would've puked on us both.
