Is it acceptable for a man in his 40’s to get a pair of Air Jordan’s? Asking for a friend…

Sure I'm in my 50s and still wear trainers so go with what makes you feel comfortable

About 3 feet away from the fence

As the company says : 'just do it'

It shows more character to wear Jor_ans despite being over 40.

It doesn't matter at all. People who question your sartorial choice are probably older than you & didn't grow up in the Air Max/Jordan era.

Nobody tells those 80 year old guys to stop wearing full suits to the grocery store, or tells baby boomers to stop wearing bootcut jeans.

Do as you want.

Just wear what you want. The only thing anyone of any age shouldn't wear is the weight of other people's expectations

Op I have lots of high end trainers. Went through a phase, and spent far too much money.

It’s an ego trip having sneaker heads acknowledging my choice of footwear.

I do think we all need to dress our age . Which to me means dress for the occasion.

I'm nearly 40 and wear Gazelles, Stan Smiths, and Nizas on a daily basis

If there's an age to stop wearing trainers, I don't want to get to it haha

Wear what you want when you want. If you like them, who cares what anyone else thinks

Thanks for all the input, sounds like a resounding yes!

To clarify I’m a bit of a sneaker geek and have a pretty big collection (mainly adidas originals / classics), just wasn’t sure I could pull off a pair of high-tops!

If you wear anything with confidence you can pull it off.

Absolutely!

That said, I recently returned a pair of triple black Jordan4’s in exchange for a pair of AirMax

Wear what the f you like. You don’t need permission or approval from anyone else.

If people have any class they will appreciate a fresh pair of Jordan’s. If not their feet are missing out!

I still love a pair of air max 90s and 95s and I’ll still rock a pair when I turn 90.

If they make you feel good then they will look good. Plus they’re pretty much the most beautiful things
