What's their daemon?

Since tonight seems to be children's/fantasy literature night...

In Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials books, there is a world where people's souls are visible in the form of an animal, known as your daemon. Although your daemon may speak, disagree even, it IS you,and its shape reflects your true personality

Childrens' daemons can change animal shape easily, as befits their changeable and developing nature. But adult daemons are settled - servants have dog daemons of differing breeds, a powerful, dominant person might have a large cat, academics often have owls/ravens, a sailor might have a dolphin, etc...

So: based on the profile and Forum personality of the poster above you, what do you think their daemon - the animal expression of their soul - would be, and why?

Hmm I can decide…I would say something that is loyal, very lovely, kind and gentlemanly with lots of passion and a lil dominance added in. Hmm for some reason I’m thinking lion/leopard

I've often wondered about this. I think I'll go for a monkey of some kind, maybe a mandrill

Oh my! Far nobler than I deserve, lovely - thank you.

I'd say...a marmoset. Clever, beautiful fur, energetic, and everyone likes them.

No, I'm glad you did. I thought a pug was wrong for you, too!

I think...a cat. Independent-minded but with a domestic streak, lovely to look at, wonderful to stroke, and an incredible sense of pride if she chooses to curl up on you.

Now I've derailed, so really do ignore me, but...a Labrador. Kind, loyal, hard working, and maybe a bit greedy and naughty in the right company.

I misread the thread so did gr8str8 a disservice by giving him the mandrill I meant for myself.

I think he would be something more sensual, I'm going to go for a cloud leopard.

I would have to say a domestic cat, happy to curl up on someone's lap, soft to the touch
