Finally I have been beaten

Secret hideaway in the pennines

After another failure to turn up, I am finally done.

A waisted day traveling and sitting like Billy no mates in a wetherspoons, I have finally been beaten into submission

I'd have thought an agent of shield would have had a back up plan for incase they fail to turn up

Damn man, that really sucks and must be thoroughly disheartening.

Hope you can find the energy to give it a go again one day.

it’s getting ridiculous now.

Sorry op. But, soldier on and remember - it’s not you if you turned up. If they are even the slightest bit unsure, they shouldn’t arrange anything. That should put it off until they now they won’t waste your time travelling/getting ready etc. That’s my thoughts.

Says far more about them...no worth a second thought.

Don't let others motivate your actions.

Surely the “meet me in Weatherspoons” was a warning sign? Don’t let it beat you though. Hope you hadn’t travelled far.

I'm sorry AC, that's really crappy. Try and not give up too much hope, which is a lot easier said than done. I hope you're able to pick yourself up soon - their actions aren't a reflection on you, just people being shitty.

With no valid excuse there should be serious repercussions for the no show'er.

That's a small fortune waisted along with time and that's just for starters

And what is wrong with that. You probably have a better chance at a social anyway.

At least it was spoons so drinks where cheep. Just think you could have met some where posh payed for you both to have a meal then got blown out.

the sad thing is its probably other men running fake women/couples profiles ...men making other mens life a misery simply because they get a kick out of kicking others down ..

op if you are getting alot of let downs then its worth revisiting your selection process when trying to find people i cant remember the last time i was let down on this my singles profile or our couples profile the process to meet me tends to put off the timewasters ..

its not great to be a man on this scene as you have to do so much more to succeed and to try and shine amongst the zillions of you im so glad im not a guy

I think you have said this before AC ? So maybe take time and reflect. If this has happened a lot then you do need to change something about who you choose to meet. The good ones are out there but maybe less is more ?

It’s such a shame when people have to spoil the experience for other people. I understand people change their mind or things come up but there is no excuse for just not turning up. Hopefully you’ll feel better about things after a bit of time.

That is doubly disappointing. Not just for failing to turn up, but months of communication coming to naught

I'd be very disappointed too.

Sadly even being well loved, popular and/or verified on here is no guarantee the person wont end up showing their true nature when it finally comes to it.

We are not now that strength which in old days

Moved earth and heaven, that which we are, we are;

One equal temper of heroic hearts,

Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will

To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Tennyson. ‘ Ulysses ‘

Chin up.

Op sorry to hear this, just proves that there are alot of dick heads out there..but reading through this thread, tells me that yoyr loved and very much liked by many ppl, who shows you've touched their lives in some way, shape, or form...so don't make this mean anything about you, as tge truth is you kept your integrity and showed up like you said you would. She didn't so this speaks volumes about her and not you...

As annoying as it may be, as blokes, we need to accept it. It’s a much bigger deal for women to mert guys than the other way round. A man not turning up for a woman is rude. A woman not turning up for a man is being cautious, and, some would say, sensible.

That she wanted to meet in the first place is a bigger feather in your cap than 99% of blokes have on here so you’re already in the top 1% of winners! Enjoy the stardom!

Sensible cautious maybe, but what about integrity, respect and honesty, in saying sorry i have to cancel. That goes a long way ppl don't play the tape forward in the effects we can have on others, to just not turn up without communicating is selfish and a cowardly way out...

Yes but today is a new one so forget about it, it’s over. Dust yourself off and see it as one less timewaster out of your life, leaving you a clearer path for the future.

Hope you are ok?
