I glanced at a status update today, where the male half of a heterosexual couple was advertising he wanted to meet.

His unique selling point was that he was " Gym fittish ".

I'm taking this to mean borderline fit.

What are you a bit "Ish" ?

I'm relatively motivated-ish.

According to a previous boss I'm a bit "childish" . Well not my fault he wasn't in the office when we started the elastic band pinging competition!

It is modestly softening the claim, so that you don’t expect absolute perfection.

Seems entirely reasonable to me.

"Damned with faint praiseish.

Sean Connery over there"

Sean Connery was arranging to meet a friend once

"Ok Sean, can you come over for tenish?"

"Tenish? But I don't have a racket"
