Going to bed together

A place where others reside (nr Oxford)

Curious musings in bed last night.

We make a point of going to bed together, every night, on nights where we are in together. Had us wondering if we were the minority or the majority?

Do people go to bed together still, or is that the perfect time for some solo downtime and therefore you go at separate times?

What's the consensus amongst the well versed and knowledgeable fab community?

We usually go to bed together but have the occasional time where Mr will stay up to watch a film while Mrs goes up to read in peace

More than not. Sometimes we stay up to have our own time and respect it.

Mr plays a game or two, watches something on the TV.

Mrs sat on her ass outting jigsaw puzzles together or watching a show.

I love going to sleep together but it also feels nice to have the bed to yourself.

Yes, not always sex, just that togetherness is reassuring and comforting.

Hopefully you find someone to share that with again.

Pictuing the biggest and most elaborate starfish ever

Puzzles are good, don't do them often enough really. The curse of games on smart phones perhaps.

TV time to yourself is necessary. You can't always like the same stuff!

Ah yes, ready made therapy/wind down session, in the comfiest room in the house, with your favourite confidant.

Or, as you say, getting intimate, with your favourite confidant

It's not every day of the year for us either. Socials, seeing friends, sport and volunteering are some of the reasons we won't be together at night. Alone time is crucial isn't it!

Ah yes, children are a wonderful catalyst of calendar/free time squeezing! We're the same. 2 kids, with different bed times, means our evening time is often restricted to an hour, and that's if the eldest doesn't prat about getting another drink/going to the toilet/forgetting to tell us something.....

We always go to bed at the same time, even if one of us isn't tired. We like cuddling and one falling asleep wrapped in the other.

We would rather be awake while the other is snoring than in different rooms

Go to bed at different times and get up at different times.

Partner does not accept or tolerate Kaylee but the above means partner does spot the chastity cage, the occasional thong worn at night, the toenail varnish worn in winter 24/7 or the fact I am now fully smooth and have been for the last three years

Unless I'm struggling with my ME/CFSi pretty much go to bed at the same time as my husband or boyfriend (depending on who I'm with obvs).

As my husband works shifts, when he's transitioning to nights is the only none health related time we don't go to bed together (but he also often sleeps in the spare room then so he doesn't wake me up when he comes to bed - or that I don't when I'm getting up for work)

We go to bed at the same time. If one of us is out the other may go to bed but stay awake for the other to come home.

Funnily enough that’s been easier as our children have grown up, when they were small it was often difficult to coordinate getting enough sleep.
