I've been on and off here for a few years now,and I'm starting to come to the conclusion that it's game over and time look for another site,there's literally nothing new on offer on here anymore,it might just be me feeling like this I don't know just feels tired and tested now.

What do you mean new and on offer. Its not a game that offers add ons as it progresses or a new season each year. Its a site for hooking up for mutual benefit and social online interaction with new folk everyday.

A site can only be as good as the people who participate, if you don't click with them then it can seem.cold and lonely, don't look at fab as a place to connect but more to browse for information and keep in touch with people.

Not to say you can't keep looking but as a guy your chances are very slim.

I’ve found casual dating apps easier than this and Feeld is pretty new to me which I’m using. Probably stating the obvious but I think this is more suited for people connecting after going to the swingers clubs rather than casual sex. I’ve not started going to clubs yet so I’m pretty inactive on here.

I think what you and everyone else experiences is the rose tinted syndrome.

Everything was better years ago because our mind filters out the crap from years ago. Also when you are experiencing something new it always seems brilliant. Then it becomes normal, then run of the mill.

So its harder to get the same highs, a bit like chemical substances I would guess.

I've been on here since the start too and I'm still struggling... but I'm sure that's down to me, not the site.

Sometimes I come on here and happen into a conversation that makes me smile, another time someone might vaguely remember me. One or twice a year I might receive a message or reply if I'm lucky, and that's really lovely, but a lot of times lately I've come away feeling a deep sense of disconnection and wonder why I flog such an obviously dead horse. I suppose I stay because it's better to have even the tiniest glimmer of hope, albeit most likely delusional, than delete and not have even that.

As things are, I still can't decide if being here has made my like better or worse.

Honestly?

The same. No videos but apart from that I've seen next to no changes in 14 years.

Yes it's clunky and there no 'swipey swipey' bullshit which means you have to put a little more effort in, but the site is very much the same as its always been.

The people on it have changed though, which means some have very different expectancies of what a contact site (because that's all Fab really is) can actually do and what the individual has to do themselves to make life easier and more enjoyable.

*One of the differences is. Up until a few years ago OF wasn’t a thing and now this site does have a lot of “content creators”. Which have brought along through social media their followers. So I do think the site has been saturated by a group of people, the content creators & their followings. - My own opinion.

They exist.

But a simple click of the block button means you'll never encounter them twice. Same as any profile people think aren't genuine. Or any that you know you'll never be interested in.

That one button makes life on here so much easier.

You won't get messages from people you don’t want to. You won't see annoying OF related status updates in your local feed. When you're browsing for meets you won't stumble across someone that you decided last week wasn't for you.

There's no better filter on Fab

I agree with you. Lots of people are interested in getting followers! I have seven and if I get to 10 I get sponsorship from Lidl. I have to use their slogan unfortunately, Liddle on price, Liddle penis.

Last year I got a little disillusioned with Fab and decided to broaden my horizons. I tried numerous other sites, paid or otherwise, and none of them was as good as this place.

Generally speaking, compared to the others I tried, there are more people on fab; interaction and engagement is better (debatable for some, I know), the site and app has way better functionality, and the forum here is good.

It really was a case of the grass not being greener after all, so I gladly returned to this pasture. Now just need a bloody good chew……
