.

It's rubbish. I think this is the longest amount of time I've spent in bed since the three day shagathon with a lecturer back in uni. And I'm so warm without exerting myself through sex. It's really wank.

I had the flu a couple of weeks ago. I felt worse than I did when I first had COVID. Completely bedbound with no energy, the most annoying cough, muscle aches and no appetite. Took me nearly 2 weeks to recover but i’m glad i’m passed it

Sorry you're feeling poorly

I got it around Dec 23rd & I ended up getting signed off work. I feel okay ish now, but the lingering cough is horrendous!

I hope you feel better soon x

I was advised to use Paracetamol & Ibuprofen, get plenty of rest & drink lots of fluids. If you have the awful cough, warm honey & lemon are helpful.

Yes. I had it at the end of November for a week or so. And it went away for a week, then it came back, then along came a dose of Covid on Christmas day and I'm still sick with flu like symptoms.

I've gone my whole life rarely getting the flu and feeling unwell but it's happened five or so times in the last year. I'm not quite sure why I'm suddenly so prone to getting ill. Maybe it's because of Covid but who knows.

K's been enjoying the flu delights for the last few weeks, hopefully not too long until she's better. I feel awful for her and for not being able to do anything to help

I had a really nasty non-specific viral infection several months before the pandemic started, took me absolutely ages to feel fully recovered. Perhaps because of that I was extra cautious during the first wave when nobody really knew much about what it was. Since then I've gotten used to measures to minimise my exposure, while still having an active social life (put it this way, I'm getting no less sex now than I was before the pandemic, and I don't spend all my time hiding at home).

I'm fully vaccinated for both covid and flu. Funnily enough, I've been more healthy during the last two years than I have been any time in the last fifty years. Mainly, I think, through the simple process of keeping away from anybody coughing, sneezing or showing any other obvious signs of illness.
