Manchester

I too don't remember much about his playing days but from what I've seen since what a player he was I remember his days managing Chelsea and Watford! (Would he be the last player/manager in the prem?)

He seemed a really nice guy too! V

RIP Gianluca

I remember him being one of the first "big" foreign footballers to come over here and it was all a bit exciting. He also came across as a decent bloke when doing studio work after his career.

RIP, cancer is a c**t

He was at that time our most successful manager, more cups than any preceeding manager.

Ken Bates said he was the only manager he was sad to sack.

Vialli, Di Matteo, Zola, golden era at the bridge, sexy sexy football.

Its been a shit start to the year Ken Block on the 2nd of January and now Luca Vialli

I loved watching chelsea under him, had a not particularly big money team playing like a multi million pound team and brought a more european style of play into the premier league

Not where we seem to be...

I remember an FA Cup game a good few years ago, Chelsea v Liverpool.

First half, Chelsea had all of the ball, all of the chances, didn't score, half time we're 0 - 2 down.

Second half, on comes Gianluca, runs the front line, scores, we win 4 - 2.

He was that sort of player.

We want to win?

No problem, hold my cigarette......

We could do with him right now.

The word legend is used too much these days but his character and his record puts him in that category, he won trophy after trophy and was adored by everyone, a true legend, the game has lost a great, a family has lost a beautiful man, may he rest in peace

Pelé last week Gianluca this week , there's no doubt about it he was brilliant footballer to watch but more importantly he was a humble guy, never let his status or fame go to his head , l was stunned when l heard of his passing,a talented footballer.RIP.
