Time will tell. I suspect after his book has come out he may try to reconcile. It will be Interesting to see if he removes all his titles in order to be completely rid of the royal attachments though

Most families have fractures.

I'm estranged from my mother.

I would allow her back into my life but it would only be if she could hold her hands up to failures on her part, as I have done with mine.

Things can be rebuilt, I believe, in any family, but with accountability, compassion, honesty, a willingness to listen, be vulnerable and show empathy.

We all learn in life and some lessons are harder than others.

He may see a risk of all titles being removed and being cut off for good and is grappling to get cosy with them again. It's all a game

Its the cognative dissonance that confuses people, I think. Or maybe its her influence that makes it appear this way, but its a pattern that has been around a lot longer than his relationship with Meghan.

If he was more consistent it would be easier to understand.

Families are hard enough when they aren't in the public eye, without the press and palace machines influencing perception.

I guess what happens now is between himself and his family. I read that the King is leaving avenues open to him so that is a start. Let's hope the television cameras aren't allowed into the reconciliation

What else has he got to say that’s remotely interesting? Seems to ramping up the rhetoric to gain publicity. Strangely coincidental that he’s got a book coming out too. I think he’s completely irrelevant to the UK and can’t believe I’ve wasted a minute typing this!

Across society parents have commonly disliked their children's choices in spouses. He has the scrutiny of the British public as well as the Royal family to contend with, and ultimately the royals think of protecting the monachary, as that's the business.

I get he needs to speak out, but he cannot have the ultimate support from the palace and public, that he seems to want. I hope that he does find some closure in time and keep his family ties and is happy with his life
