We've had threads about favourite and least favourite comedians but are there any that you used to find funny but since found you don't like as much as you used to or don't find them so funny anymore?

Russell Howard for me. I found him hilarious when I first watched him in school but now find him a bit preachy and one-toned

We’ve long had issue with Russell here too.

H has always found him hilarious ever since she used to sit up all night watching whilst feeding baby from boobie… I always found him just annoying.

Too many to mention. Seem to have a lifespan of originality. Or they get derailed by following the money.

Jimmy Carr, Lenny Henry, David Walliams, Jack Whitehall.

Only a rare few keep the original essence of their humour and the integrity of their perspective.

I wouldn't bregruge H too much, even my standard for finding things funny are lower the later it is

"Lee evans once "

I've not seen much of Lee Evans. What was it that made him stop being funny for you?

Jimmy Carr, think I've out grown his humour.

That's a good point. I suppose the more popular you become, the wider the audience you need to cater for becomes so your material becomes a bit more sanitised

His material was mostly the same …. Plus I found it a bit immature at times …. Was funny at first but …..

In the rare few I would have Billy Connolly, Eric Morecombe and Sean Lock.

Totally agree, too political and right on preachy now for my liking.

Stewart Lee, talented stand up but has become increasingly lazy and predictable. I left his latest show after 30 minutes.

Yep, they pander to the majority.

I was undecided about Ricky Gervais until he took on the Golden Globes etc He'll get my vote for that alone, even if you say he was being controversial to raise his profile it took some balls. But he also still talks a good bit of sense for such a successful guy.

There are also lots who go woke for clicks or go to triggers for headlines. No humour just headlines.

"Micky Flanagan. "

I never really got Micky Flanagan in the first place to be honest so can see why he would have a shelf life for some

His material was funny initially but he needs a script, I prefer original wit. Put Billy Connolly or Eric Morecambe on a chat show and you'll be genuinely entertained, Micky would only be able to regurgitate old material

Titz Towers, North Notts

Peter Kay. He was good when he used to make an effort, but doesn't work at crafting anything particularly new or interesting now. He just relies on his reputation to sell whatever he's saying.

I need to watch full episodes of their show! I watch some sketches and find them hilarious so really to check those out!

Yeah, I think Jimmy Carr is just too overexposed. I still find some bits funny though

Yeah, I think we find that with a lot of comedians. We find our taste has developed a bit more

Sean lock was the opposite for me! At first I didn't get him but the more I watched him, the more I got what he was about and found him hilarious
