Christmas Eve used to be THE big night out for me and my mates.

Tonight I was so excited about the prospect of lighting the coal fire, getting my jamas on and having a glass or two of port after doing a few social calls dropping off pressies.

Yep, I'll be unwrapping me piece of coal, tangerine and pencil with a rubber on the end just after midnight.

In the olden days you were younger now you are old and the days are young.

Christmas Eve was always staying sober and Midnight Mass for me. Now I'm singing along to the Mass on the TV as I'd d*unk too much to go to church.

Does anyone remember Big Track?? It was a toy robot/truck that you could control by punching in a few buttons on the truck, and then watch it go!! They've brought out a smaller version now....although I don't know if it is smaller, or if i've just got bigger!!

Couldnt think of anything worse now than turning out in the freezing cold wearing hardly any clothes to go to a pub thats crammed packed. Oh how we change
