Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I haven't been for a few years. I like a High Mass for Christmas. Locally that will be the Catholics and it's a bit of a crush. As I've had a drink I can't drive to the CofE. It's a lame excuse.

No. I feel physically ill when I enter a church. The OH has just gone alone to the cathedral for Carol night.

France

I wish I could, but with my little man in bed already it's out of the question. Only time I ever go to the big house and I love having a sing-song. Did go to the one we have at work Thurs daytime so not too disappointed I can't get out.

it's been thirty years since i attended midnight mass,so that'll be a no from me.

even back then, the only bit i liked, was when the priest broke out the incense.

I liked it when we used to do the processional to the nativity and the vicar would pop the wooden Jesus into the crib. The last few times I went that didn't happen.

Essex.

My memories of minight mass are of my dad and his friends being unsteady after to much christmas spirit... One year we thought they were going to pull the tree down... He doesn't bother with church but has stayed faithful to the spirit...lol

North of The Wall - youll need your vest

The church is at the bottom of my garden and when the bells start ringing and I can see it all lit up I usually get the urge.....but not enough of an urge to get out of mi jamas and go

I might give it a go tonight though.

I shall be going.... Wouldn't miss it, barring serious illness.... Christmas isn't Christmas without midnight mass.

Just wish I was back in Italy... A real nativity, a newborn child, Adeste Fideles and mulled wine round a fire in the churchyard....

I have to confess I've never been to church over Christmas ever.

I love the ceremony and ritual of it all and I wish I could believe enough to attend.

Say a prayer for all of our forum inmates going through tough times.

I had Carols from Kings on earlier and I'll probably put the service on the radio or TV.

Peace be with you.
