Or like me, do you wake horrified at the idea you have to do the same job everyday and you cry during the journey you make to endure the job?

Are you lucky to like where and who you work with?

I guess what you are at a certain point in life and have dependents and the world is going to sh*t around you… and it is paying very well… sometimes you have to stick it out till something better comes along

Work doesn't exactly excite me, but I'm good at it, I like my colleagues on the whole and I'm respected. I also work part time so have a fabulous work/life balance. Plus I'm paid well, have a good annual leave amount, and flexitime.

I found working from home difficult at first and considered leaving for something more worthwhile, but I'm content for now.

I love what I do. I don't always enjoy the company or team I do it with. The possibilities excite me, the day to day grind does not, but I still enjoy it.

I'm fortunate that I can move companies very easily; I have a good enough network that if I start looking for a new opportunity I know they will come my way.

I can't imagine spending a quarter of my time somewhere I loathed, doing something I loathed doing.

Sympathy to anyone who finds themselves in that situation, and I hope you can find something that you can enjoy a bit more

I literally went through a phase like that where I'd actually cry on my way to work. Ended up signed off work with stress for about 4 months which was a shocker for someone who never even took sick days. Was nearing the end of my phased return and dreading being back in the office full time when the lockdown started. I've worked at home ever since and that's the only reason I've been able to stay on. Can't stand office politics so being able to work at home has been my saviour

Hope things improve for you or you find something better OP
