Witness:the Amish film, or

Wargames.

The latter looks a bit dated now, but it actually spawned a neologism, a new word, for the searching online that Matthew Broderick was doing in his bedroom.

The film is chock full of flaws, but exceptionally entertaining!

The 80s was a great decade for fun films that were funny and full of action at the same time.

Big Trouble In Little China is the one that immediately comes to mind, but Gremlins, Ghost Busters, They Live among many others.

That said my favourite film of the decade is Blade Runner.

Some of my all-time favourites mentioned here, AND the biggest crush of my teenage years, the lovely Ally Sheedy.

But I believe the title of the thread was "Best movie of the 80s"? In which case, none of you have got the right answer.

The Best Movie of the 80s is of course Commando. It's the best movie ever made.
