I find “bi” people really fascinating and a bit confusing. Even though they say that they are attracted to both sexes, they still appear to see things in black and white terms, they often want men for certain sexual experiences, and women for different ones, they often want to be “dom” with one sex and “sub” with another. They therefore reinforce identities based on sex and gender, rather than escape them.

However, I think the true definition of being “bi” should be someone for whom the sex of the other person is utterly irrelevant; they are simply attracted and turned on by the other person as they are, by the experiences they create and share, so that the sex or gender of the other person ceases to be a thing through which they see them.

I appreciate this probably sounds quite sci-fi than the real world or even the Fab world
