I Woke up like this

Woke up. Got out of bed, dragged a comb across my head! *one for the music nerds.

I don’t do much in the morning as part of a routine in looking this fantastic, but how much effort do you women put in? How long does it take you to get ready? I actually applause as well as being amazed at the extra time for hair make up etc in a morning each day. And trust me, when you look gorgeous, I do notice.

A bit of spit on an old hanky usually does it, to wipe my face with.

Oh, that takes me back to my childhood. It was often the way to get that wayward strand of hair under control.

Nans and mom's alike used to do this kind of thing ....they probably still do

How long it takes me can vary a lot. If I need to wash my hair that's at least 40 minutes to wash and blow dry. A minute or two to wash my face and slap some moisturiser on. If I need to put on makeup that takes around a minute and a half. Cleaning my teeth takes a couple of minutes,

It all starts adding up, but if I don't need to wash my hair I can usually be done in 10-15 minutes including 5 minutes in the shower.

How much spit if you can wipe your whole face with it?

They carry baby wipes now, or so I heard.

"I got up, woken by the child"

Those days are long gone for me (though I found in their late teens I was woken either by them coming back early in the morning or worrying where they were).

Now woken by my English Bull Terrier puppy who wants a walk.

Can be dressed and with him in less than a minute!

Needs must, Woody.

Now I'm a nan, without a baby wipe in sight!

Hmmm, what do you do when the little urchins come round (raid your daughter's [daughter-in-law's] baby bag)?

BTW would never have guessed from your photos that you are a nan!

On thing about the British empire, cleanliness was next to godliness. Couldn't let the heathens go unwashed!

It depends. Day to day, about fifteen minutes. Shower, wash face, brush teeth, run hair oil and a comb through my hair. Pin it in a bun.

If I'm making an effort? Well, I've got a lot of very curly hair so washing/moisturising/styling that takes a good hour and a half. I'll exfoliate and moisturise which adds another half hour on (there's even a clay body mask I use). But day to day I'm pretty low maintenance, no makeup.

Ha, makes me glad that I am a man, with short fine hair. Shower and brisk rub down with a towel and I am ready to go.

Damn, an age thing, may have forgotten the clothes again!

So this is why people are sometimes late?

I bought a toothbrush, some toothpaste, a flannel for my face

Pyjamas, a hair brush, new shoes and a case

I said to my reflection 'let's get out of this place'

Passed the church and the steeple, the laundry on the hill

Billboards and the buildings, memories of it still keep calling and calling

But forget it all, I know I will

Shower 10mins.

Hair, if not going anywhere dries naturally or if I am quick 2-3 min blast on the hair drier. I should diffuse it and shit but 9.9 times out of 10 I can't be arsed.

Make up, less than a minute.

If I am actually meeting anyone then I would do my hair properly which takes ages for it not to look like a frizzy mess.

I'd spend about 3 mins doing my make up a bit nicer aswell.

Depends if I'm just running about doing chores etc takes me about 2 minutes lol. If I'm going to work around 20 minutes. If I'm meeting then that's a process that takes a while, too bloody long for the reward sometimes

I shower in the evening, so mornings are find glasses, brush hair and grab clothes. I can be up and ready in about 2 minutes. I usually take longer as I like to dance naked if a good song comes on the radio, and often my husband doesn't let me put my clothes straight on..

Possibly? I don't like people being late (hate it) so try and avoid it as much as possible!

Day to day it takes me about an hour and a half to have a shower , get ready and do my hair. I don’t wear makeup everyday.

If I’m going out anywhere and have to make an effort then about 2 to 3 hours to do everything plus my makeup.

Same here. My kids don't give me the luxury of having more time.

Hurrah for hat wearing season. As long as I have had a cup of tea all is good.
