Any spare batteries?

And also a 9v charger?

Go on, what did you find out that you’d forgotten or didn’t expect you would need in the big day?

Stuffing mix? Flour? Everyone I was around had said at least one thing they were missing. “YOU HAD A FULL BLOODY YEAR TO GET IT READY!!!”

Batteries too I always forget the batteries

I also forgot to wrap the in-laws gifts and had to make a quick dash to the shop on the way for gift bags to put them in and they only had happy birthday ones left

Somebody forgot to take the sprouts out of the pan and put them in the table. overcooked sprouts are just baaad.

to be fair, there are enough paper shops and petrol stations open on christmas day to be able to easily get batteries.
